2015 Ford Explorer Appearance Package
While we’ve been hearing rumors of a Ford Explorer refresh for a few years, the automaker is going to give us a little taste of some of the changes with the 2015 Ford Explorer Appearance Package. The Ford Explorer has been one of the crossover segments leaders since its redesign in the 2010 model year, but it hasn’t received any significant changes since its major redesign four years ago. Although it’s not considered redesign or even a refresh, the 2015 Ford Explorer Appearance Package will welcome a number of new features into this year’s crossover.
The 2015 Ford Explorer Appearance Package will be available on Explorer XLT trims and get you a number of aesthetically awesome features inside and outside the cabin. On the exterior, the Appearance Package will add 20-inch aluminum wheels roof rack rails and black body-side cladding. Other details like a Magnetic Metallic painted grille, mirror caps, liftgate handle and Explorer hood badge add to the Explorer’s appeal.
The Appearance Package additions aren’t limited to the exterior, however, as drivers and passengers also will get to enjoy some nice interior upgrades. First, and most notably, the 2015 Ford Explorer equipped with the Appearance Package includes leather-trimmed, heated front seats with Miko® suede inserts. The stitching on those seats also is a contrast color to the seat, making it stand out with a sporty look. Lastly, the Appearance Package adds an auto-dimming rearview mirror and special Appearance Package badging.
The 2015 Ford Explorer is now available on the lot. Coming off its best month of sales for the current-generation Explorer, Ford is planning to ride that momentum into the release of the 2015 model.
