Festival of Lights Hayride in Jacksonville NC
When: Thanksgiving to Dec 23, Dec 26 and 27 Where: Mike’s Farm and Restaurant in Beulaville Mike’s Farm puts on a variety of annual Christmas events, but the Festival of Lights is one of our favorite. You can enjoy a 30-minute hayride around the farm while taking in the sights of lighted holiday scenes and a live nativity, all while Christmas music plays. Rides start at 6 p.m. each night and is $8 per person five and older.
Santa’s Great Candy Cane Hunt
When: Dec. 17 @ 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Where: Swansboro Recreation Center Mr. Claus himself and a bunch of his Elves have gone through the Municipal Park and hid a bunch of candy canes! Children 10 and under are invited to find as many as they can. The hunt itself is free, but the organizers prefer that you pre-register. The Candy Cane Hunt is part of the larger Santa Fest, which offers a wide variety of other fun activities. Learn more and register here!
Christmas Around the World in Swansboro
When: Dec. 19 – 23 @ 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Where: Swansboro Recreation Center Christmas in Swansboro, Jacksonville and the rest of Onslow County is great, but have you ever wondered how other cultures around the world celebrate the holiday? Well, now you don’t have to! The Christmas Around the World art camp offers the chance for kids to both learn about Christmas in other cultures, and do some fun crafts! The camp is open to ages 6 to 14, but there is limited availability, so we recommend booking a spot!
