2018 Explorer Updated Technology
Ford has updated the Explorer’s roster of technology features for the new model year. The SUV will now offer an available 4G WiFi hotspot. The hotspot can support up to ten connected devices at once. Additionally, the new Explorer can be equipped with Ford’s SYNC Connect system. SYNC Connect gives owners remote access to the Explorer via the FordPass app. This allows owners to start, lock, unlock and locate the vehicle remotely.

2018 Ford Explorer models can also be equipped with Ford’s new Safe and Smart Package. Choosing this available package adds several additional technology systems. These include:
- Rain-sensing wipers
- Automatic high-beams
- Lane-keeping assist
- Cross-traffic alerts
- Blind-spot information system
- Adaptive cruise control and collision warning system with brake support
New Explorer Release Date
