Performance of the 2018 Ford F-150 Diesel Engine
For many drivers, performance is the most important part to consider when they are buying a new truck. Most of the time, those who are purchasing a new truck want something that is able to tow a trailer and handle any terrain. With the 2018 Ford F-150, there are already five high-powered engines that drivers can choose from to find the one that best fits their needs. However, some may find that even with all of those excellent options, they won’t have the performance and fuel economy that they need. That’s why Ford will be introducing a new Power Stroke diesel engine that will available starting in spring 2018.
Drivers who are seeking power, performance, and high estimated fuel economy, Ford’s first-ever F-150 Power Stroke diesel engine will be an exciting new option. Those who choose a 2018 Ford F-150 Lariat, King Ranch, or Platinum SuperCrew or SuperCab truck can choose this new, available engine for increased power and towing ability. When equipped with the 3.0L Power Stroke diesel engine, the 2018 Ford F-150 will be able to tow up to 11,400 pounds with a payload capacity of 2,020 pounds, thanks to the 250 horsepower and 440 pound-feet of torque. Another exciting aspect of the new engine is the EPA-estimated rating of 30 mpg on the highway.
