2018 Ford GT ’67 Heritage exhibits historic paint job
There are two types of people: those who admit they’d like to drive a race car, and liars. While most people won’t get the opportunity to get behind the wheel of a vehicle that has come screaming through the finish line, Ford is giving them the next best thing. The 2018 Ford GT is paying tribute to the racing heritage of the vehicle with a unique edition.
Ford’s supercar, the GT, will be available with a limited Heritage theme. This model recognizes the 1967 Le Mans winning vehicle, driven by an American team, Dan Gurney and A.J. Foyt. Both the interior and the exterior of the 2018 Ford GT ’67 Heritage Edition have unique features. The most visible aspect is, of course, the exterior, which is outfitted with a glossy Race Red paint job that is accented with white stripes. The hood and door graphics are what really cements the historically-inspired exterior. A Frozen White No.1 identifies the vehicle as honoring the iconic race car.
Ford Racing Heritage
While it’s very unlikely that you’ll be able to get your hands on a 2018 Ford GT, there are other Ford vehicles that can make you feel like you’re on a track. The 2018 Ford Mustang GT, when equipped with Drag Strip mode, can go from 0-60 in less than four seconds. The Ford Mustang is just as much at home on a race track as it is on a highway. They are frequently used in drag racing and sports car racing, as well as making appearances as pace cars for the Indianapolis 500.
