Which 2018 Ford models are offered as Hatchbacks?
If you ask someone what they think of hatchbacks, it is likely that they’ll have a fairly strong opinion. Whether you’re pro-or anti-hatchback, there are many benefits to driving one of the notably odd vehicles. Whether you’re interested in a hatchback for the interior space of for the exciting color options that are generally available, you’ll have plenty of options from Ford to consider.
If you’re looking for a Ford hatchback, there are three different vehicle options for you to choose from. Each one has different strengths, but all three are excellent examples of the benefits of driving a hatchback. When considering a Ford model, drivers get to choose between the Ford Fiesta, Ford Focus and Ford C-MAX Hybrid. No matter what you’re looking for, one of these three models will be the right fit for you.
2018 Ford Fiesta Hatchback
The 2018 Ford Fiesta is available in both the hatchback and sedan styling, though drivers who want a hatchback have more options when it comes to trim levels. As with the 2018 Ford Fiesta sedan, the hatchback style is available on the S, SE, and Titanium. However, there is also an additional high-performance hatchback option, the 2018 Ford Fiesta ST. The engine of the ST provides more power, topping out at 197 horsepower and 202 pound-feet of torque with the 1.6L EcoBoost® four-cylinder. No matter which trim you choose, you’ll still have your choice from the ten exciting color options.
2018 Ford Focus Hatchback
Much like the 2018 Ford Fiesta, the 2018 Ford Focus is available as both a sedan and a hatchback. However, you can’t get the base trim level S as a hatchback. Starting at the SE level and going through SEL and Titanium, you’ll have three different trim levels and two high-performance options if you choose to go with the 2018 Ford Focus ST or RS. There is also an available electric model. No matter which trim level you choose, there is plenty of space in any 2018 Ford Focus hatch, with a maximum 43.9 cubic feet of cargo space in the SE, SEL, Titanium, and ST, or 43.8 cubic feet in the 2018 Ford Focus RS.

2018 Ford C-MAX Hybrid
Unlike the other two, the 2018 Ford C-MAX Hybrid is only available as a hatchback. Equipped with the SmartGauge with EcoGuide, a 2.0L Atkinson-Cycle four-cylinder hybrid engine, Permanent Magnet AC Synchronous Motor, and Lithium-ion battery, the 2018 Ford C-MAX is able to provide 141 horsepower and 129 pound-feet of torque. As a hybrid, the most important thing to consider is the fuel economy, which is estimated at 42 mpg in the city, 38 mpg on the highway, and 40 mpg combined.
