One of our favorite things about the Swansboro area is the wonderful community and events. If you’re looking for a fun event to attend in October, then we’ve got a great suggestion for you. We’ll be sponsoring the 61st annual Mullet Festival in Swansboro this October, and invite you all to come down and have a good time!

When is the 2015 Mullet Festival in Swansboro

This year the 61st annual Mullet Festival will be held on October 10 and 11, which occur on a Saturday and Sunday. There will also be a parade held on Saturday at 9:00am. and, of course, admission will be entirely free the entire weekend.

What is the annual Mullet Festival

In case you don’t know, the mullet is more than just a funky hair style! It’s also a delicious fish, and the Mullet Festival is all about having a great fish fry. The event will happen in downtown Swansboro, where there will be over 100 craft vendors as well as food vendors lining the streets.

There’s some additional things going on this weekend for attendees, including rides and amusements, which are great for families. There’s also going to be tons of live entertainment, with live bands performing throughout the weekend.

Holiday Band – 11:00am to 2:00pm

Carl Newton & 5th Ave. Band – 2:00pm to 5:00pm
