Halloween is right around the corner and Sanders Ford wants to make sure you’re ready! There are a variety of community events happening in Jacksonville to help celebrate this spooky thrilling season. Whether you want something for the whole family or you want something a little scarier, we have found an event for you! Here the best fall activities in Jacksonville in this year.
To start off there will be costume contest and movie at the Carmike Cinema 16 on Saturday October 25th. The costume awards will be given to the winners in three age groups: 5 & under, 6-8 years and 9-12 years. This costume contest provides a fun and safe environment for children and parents in the community to enjoy some Halloween fun. The cost of admission is three canned food items per person. The costume contest will start at 9:00 A.M. and the movie (to be announced) will immediately follow.
For those looking for a more thrilling event in Jacksonville this Halloween season, there will be a 5K Zombie run on October 25 at the Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) New River Family Fitness Center. The event is open to authorized base access patrons and their guests. Attendees with run for their life from flesh hungry zombies through a trial-forest run with zombie obstacles. The event will take place October 25 from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. If you don’t want to run the 5K, you can volunteer to be one of the zombies on the path. This is a great Halloween activity for those who enjoy exercise and a rush of adrenaline.
Sanders Ford is also hosting its own Halloween event right at our dealership. On October 31st at noon, we will be hosting the eighth annual chili cook-off in Jacksonville for Toys for Tots.
