If you’re on the lookout for great Christmas Events in Jacksonville NC, then we’ve assembled the list for you! Take a look and let us know what you think, or which of your favorite events we missed, in the comments below!
Festival of Lights Hayride
When: Nightly until Dec 23 @ 6:00pm to 10:00pm
Where: Mike’s Farm Restaurant in Beulaville, NC
Come and enjoy a 30 minute hayride around the farm and tour the Festival of Lights! You’ll get a great view of numerous holiday scenes lit up and decorated, as well as a live nativity. The first ride will go out every night, weather permitting, at 6:00pm. Not able to attend before Christmas? No worries, because you’ll have a chance to catch it for the encore presentation on the 26th and 27th. The cost of the hayride and light show is $8 for those ages five and up.
Holiday Pops Concert at Jacksonville High School
When: Dec. 7, 12, and 15th
Where: Jacksonville High School
Weren’t able to attend the November performances of the Holiday Pops Concert? Luckily you’ll have a couple more opportunities! You can enjoy all of your favorite holiday tunes sang out by the talented choir members. Plus, there will be performances of more modern songs, from hits such as The Polar Express and Frozen. There will even be a sing-a-long, so you’ll definitely leave with your spirits lifted! Our favorite part, though? It’s the home of Jacksonville’s only indoor snowfall.
Richlands Jingle Dash 5k
When: Dec. 19 @ 7:00am
Where: Richlands Town Hall
If you’re the running type (or walking!) then you might be interested in participating in the inaugural Richlands’ Jingle Bell Dash. All money raised will go to RDR and Ainsley’s Angels. There’s a $30 registration fee until Dec. 11, and a $50 cash-only registration fee on Race Day from 8am to 9am. Runners will path through historic Downtown Richlands on a loop that starts and finishes at Town Hall. It’s a mostly flat course, so it should be an enjoyable time for runners, joggers, and walkers of all skill-levels.
We can’t make room for every event on our list, but we also recommend looking into the programs offered by the Swansboro Recreation Center, which has quite the lineup this year. Don’t forget to stop by Sanders Ford for all your automotive needs, including service and used car shopping.
