Which 2018 Ford models have manual transmissions?

Every year, new vehicles are becoming more and more advanced, and are hemorrhaging older technologies that aren’t as efficient or “useful” as the newer ones. As the focus shifts to vehicles that are able to drive themselves, fewer people are learning how to drive a vehicle with a manual transmission. Whether you’re a driving enthusiast or someone who enjoys the benefits of getting behind the wheel of a vehicle equipped with a manual transmission, it is likely you’ve had trouble finding a new vehicle that fits your needs. Though many manufacturers are phasing out the manual transmission, you can still find a few new Ford cars that include a manual transmission.

2018 Ford Fiesta

If you want the 2018 Ford Fiesta, you’ll need to know how to drive with the five-speed manual transmission, which is standard on the S and SE trim levels, and available on the Titanium. With the performance 2018 Ford Fiesta ST Hatchback, you won’t have a choice, with the standard six-speed manual transmission.

2018 Ford Focus

Much like the 2018 Ford Fiesta, the 2018 Ford Focus has performance options, the 2018 Ford Focus ST and RS, both of which are equipped with a unique six-speed manual transmission to ensure that drivers who want to take it out of the track have full control over their vehicle. Those who aren’t looking for high-speed performance can also enjoy the five- and six-speed manual options that are standard on the S and SE sedan trims.

Of course, the classic Pony car, the 2018 Ford Mustang, provides drivers with a fun and engaging ride on the EcoBoost®, GT, and Shelby models. A six-speed manual transmission is standard on all three, and while you can get the available ten-speed SelectShift® automatic transmission on the EcoBoost® and GT models, the Shelby GT350® and Shelby® GT350R are only available with the standard transmission, or an available TREMEC® six-speed manual option.
