The Ford Mustang is one of the most (if not the most) iconic vehicles still on the road today. The vehicle has recently marked five decades of being on the road with the launch of a new generation of Mustang, but the vehicle’s beginnings are what made its successors possible.

In the mid-1960s, the first Mustang made its way to the road and revolutionized driving forever. Its first official launch was at the New York World’s Fair on Apr. 17, 1964. After a few years of tinkering and reconfiguring, the vehicle was made more attainable. Originally available as both a convertible and notchback coupe, the vehicle drew in eager drivers right out of the gate.

After a few lackluster engine options, the Mustang eventually rose to the top of the list as a “pony car.” Once the vehicle established itself as a high-performing machine, there was no stopping its capabilities or popularity. After 50 years on the road, the vehicle continues to hold the title as one of America’s greatest icons, and our team is happy to celebrate the vehicle in a manner that will also allow us to donate money to an exceptional cause.
