If you take a look at our inventory of new Ford vehicles, you’ll notice that we have a pretty large and varied selection of new Ford F-150s on our lot. We’ve got so many for multiple reasons, but the main one is that we can’t get enough of them. We think they’re great trucks, and it’s a joy to sell them. This is why it should come as no surprise that we’re also very excited for the upcoming 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor. Take a look below to see the Best in the Desert new Racing Raptor that has been specially customized!
How is the 2017 Ford F-150 Racing Raptor Customized?
So the 2017 F-150 Raptor at its stock model is pretty special, and you would think that there wouldn’t be too much left to do to get it ready for something like the Best in the Desert Race event. After all, it does come standard with a power 3.5L EcoBoost engine that provides more power than the 6.2L V8 that was found on the last model, a 10-speed transmission, and plenty of off-road tech to provide a smooth drive.
To make the Raptor even more race-ready, the crew at Ford added race-optimized front and rear Fox Racing Shox, front and rear springs to gain extra height for clearance, a custom roll cage, new racing seats, and more! Additions like the LED light bar, racing fuel cell, the GPC unit, and other things will be a great help in a race like the Best of the Desert, as well.
What Drive modes are in the 2017 Ford Raptor?
Another feature in the Ford Raptor that is going to help it in the Best of the Desert race is its selection of available drive modes, though these are actually available on every Raptor, not just a specialized custom one like this. There’s normal mode, street mode, weather mode, mud and sand mode, Baja mode, and a rock mode. This means that you’ll be able to alter your vehicle to perform at its peak for all of these driving conditions!
