Swansboro by Candlelight
November is here and that means that everyone is getting ready for the holidays. Some might complain that it’s too soon, but a lot goes into planning a successful holiday season. Especially when it comes to buying gifts. It can be a stressful process so it’s a good idea to get ahead of the game and start as soon as possible. A great way to start off your holiday season is by attending Swansboro by Candlelight. This is an annual event that makes holiday shopping an event and helps you get excited about it.
During Swansboro by Candlelight, the historic streets of downtown Swansboro turn into a winter wonderland. The storefronts all get decorated with beautiful ribbons and bows. Store owners get creative and some even have elaborate Christmas themed displays for shoppers to enjoy. The streets are brightly lit and makes the whole event feel very inviting. There is also live entertainment in town square. It’s a good opportunity to walk around drink a hot beverage, listening to festive music, show and see the sights of Swansboro.
Swansboro by Candlelight will be taking place from 5 p.m. – 9 p.m. on November 8th. It is the perfect time to get in the holiday mood and meet up with your friends in the community. There is also a variety of local entertainment throughout the day. The Swansboro Dance Studio will be performing dances from the Nutcracker from 5-5:45 p.m. The Swansboro High School Band will be performing at Second Wind all evening. There will also be an Official Tree Lighting Ceremony at 6 p.m. There will also be live music at Old Town Square and Boro Cafe, along with a wine tasting at Bake Bottle Brew.
This is a great event with lots of variety for the whole family to enjoy. Whether you just want to get out and take part in some free entertainment or you want to get a head start on your holiday shopping, Swansboro by Candlelight will be a fun event to attend. If you are planning on doing some car shopping this holiday season, head over to Sanders Ford. There’s no better present than a brand new Ford vehicle! And don’t forget about the Swansboro Christmas Flotilla happening later this month on the Friday after Thanksgiving!
