Updates and new features on the 2018 Ford Escape
It can be incredibly exciting when a new vehicle is released. There are almost always new and enticing features and options added to the newest model. However, in some cases, you might not be able to tell what the new features are, especially if the vehicle hasn’t gone through a complete redesign. Even without a redesign, there are still some updates that are being made to vehicles like the 2018 Ford Escape, which just underwent a redesign in 2017.
As opposed to last year, when the powerful 2.0L four-cylinder engine was available on the 2017 Ford Escape Titanium, for the 2018 model, it is the standard engine when you opt for the Titanium trim level. That means that you’ll have all the power on the 245 horsepower 2.0L four-cylinder engine, and the options of enjoying the 179 horsepower four-cylinder engine on one of the other trim levels that use it.
What features are available on the 2018 Ford Escape SEL?
The biggest update to the 2018 Ford Escape is the addition of the SEL trim level. Sandwiched in the middle with the SE, right below the highest trim level, the Ford Escape Titanium, the SEL trim level provides all sorts of luxuries. It is the first trim on the 2018 Ford Escape to have standard Ford SYNC 3, which provides an easy-to-use touchscreen and a user-friendly interface that will help you connect and use your devices while behind the wheel. Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay™ are also included in the SYNC 3 system.
