The majority of Ford’s lineup would work well as a vehicle for a student in high school or going off to college, but one was specifically singled out at Kelley Blue Book because of its value, efficiency, safety options and more! Take a look below to see why the Ford Fiesta is a good back to school car!
Why is the Ford Fiesta good for students?
Just from giving the Ford Fiesta quick glance, one of its most obvious benefits as a car for students is its low price tag, which starts at $14,090. KBB also describes the Fiesta as stylish, fun-to-drive, and as having a great infotainment system — SYNC 3. The 2016 Fiesta also offers amazing mileage, up to 43 MPG on the highway, so you won’t have to debate on ordering a pizza to your dorm or filling up the tank with your spare cash. KBB also humorously states that maybe if you’re rocking a 4.0 GPA that you can talk the folks into springing for the Fiesta ST — which gives you high-performance while still being practical.
What safety options are in the Ford Fiesta?
While you probably won’t be able to talk them into the Fiesta ST, there is still a good chance for the Fiesta, especially since it has some great safety features. The 2016 Ford Fiesta comes standard with integrated blind spot mirrors, which allow you to better spot cars approaching into your blind spot. If you’d like some additional vision you can also equip the Fiesta with the rear view camera and reverse sensing system. Other high-tech features like Ford MyKey and SYNC 3 can be used to additional added safety and convenience.
How much will the 2017 Ford Fiesta cost?
Not much is currently known about the 2017 Ford Fiesta, but we’re eagerly awaiting for additional details to reveal themselves in the coming months. For now, Ford has left us with a teaser that the 2017 Fiesta will be priced under $20,000 — which is no surprise given its legacy as an affordable option.
